Achievements:
Professor Sara Beckman is co-director of the Management of Technology Program in the Haas School of Business. Environmental issues have become a unique part of the business curriculum at Berkeley, through the university's Consortium on Green Design and Manufacturing. The focus at Haas includes an environmental management course, while the energy and resources group offers a course on industrial ecology, and the engineering department supports environmentally-conscious design and manufacturing projects in mechanical engineering courses. She has published on the role of voluntary standards in environmental supply chain management.
