The Sustainability Team program is dedicated to three major goals: 1)Create and implement projects that address campus environmental problems, establish sustainable practices on campus, and raise sustainability awareness to students, faculty, and staff. 2) Provide students with the training and tools necessary to accomplish effective sustainability advocacy and project implementation, navigation of the campus bureaucracy, and experience required to succeed in future leadership roles. 3)Serve as a liaison between students and the ASUC, GA, administration, faculty, staff, and Berkeley community; facilitate effective networking between all environmental entities on campus

Harness the strengths of students, faculty and research programs across the energy and natural resources sector. Create a community with shared interests in energy and natural resources, encourage leaders to be active in the community, create an online place where people can access Berkeley’s energy and natural resources information, make Berkeley the most attractive place for students interested in “clean tech,” and identify student-led projects that reinforce “clean tech.”
BERC is a student-led organization whose mission is to connect and develop the UC Berkeley energy and resource community. The group acts as a bridge between the many schools, programs, and labs at the University, including the Boalt Hall School of Law, College of Chemistry, College of Engineering, College of Natural Resources, Energy & Resources Group, Goldman School of Public Policy, Haas School of Business, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, UC Energy Institute, and others. To foster productive applications of university research and technology, BERC also forges connections with the larger energy and cleantech cluster that is growing in the Bay Area and beyond.

The Environmental Law Society is an organization of student activists at Boalt dedicated to environmental protection, education, and social justice. ELS provides opportunities for Boalt law students to gain hands-on legal experience with established environmental organizations in the community, to discuss local, national and international issues with prominent environmental attorneys, and to learn to appreciate and protect nature. In addition to sponsoring the environmental speaker series, ELS provides the resources necessary to take effective action on a variety of environmental issues, including the San Francisco Bay, endangered species, old-growth forests, recycling, organic food standards, fair trade issues, and environmental justice. Its activities focus on the need for law students to share their individual knowledge, inspiration.
