Brief Bio: BIO: Jeremy Eddy, Graduate Student Researcher, is in his second year as a Masters degree candidate in the Energy and Resources Group at UC Berkeley. He is helping to create the recommendations engine for the CoolClimate Calculator. Prior to graduate school, Jeremy spent 8 years teaching middle school, high school, and college level biology in the U.S. and in Thailand. As an instructor at California College of the Arts, he taught bio-inspired design to students from a wide variety of applied arts and fine arts backgrounds. He also worked for two years at the Ecological Society of America, developing and promoting natural resources management policy at the watershed level. He is specifically interested in helping households and cities calculate their carbon footprint and make plans to ratchet it down over time. |
