Internship with Climate Culture
Paid Internship in Energy End-Use Efficiency and Conservation:
Climate Culture, LLC is a New York City-based Internet company that empowers consumers and businesses to combat global warming using
interactive web-based applications. We are looking for interns with extensive experience in climate and energy science and a strong passion for using technology to solve pressing environmental problems.
Skills & Qualifications:
o Superior quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
o Familiarity with a wide range of energy issues, including energy systems, markets, databases, regulatory structures and conservation initiatives
o Ability and desire to develop the most sophisticated personal energy use and carbon dioxide emission calculations available on the web
o Background in and personal adherence to responsible or green consumption and lifestyle habits, including an understanding of green companies, technologies and product lines
o Ability to quickly absorb sophisticated technical and conceptual information, identify key issues and details, and clearly present alternatives to both technical and non-technical individuals
o Ability to work on multiple complex tasks against deadlines and shifting priorities. Comfort in dealing with uncertainty, ambiguity and change.
Current and graduating students are welcome to apply. We offer competitive pay and an opportunity for full-time employment. We require a minimum of 40 hours per week during the summer. You will also be required to work during the semester to prepare for the internship. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an exciting and growing company!
