Senior Electrical Engineer for Ausra

Ausra, Inc. is developing large-scale solar thermal power plants that will provide
electricity at market-competitive prices without carbon emissions. Our business plan
includes the installation of 1-2 GW per year of our unique Compact Linear Fresnel

Responsibilities:
* Optimization of power generation concepts to match our technology and market
opportunities
* Preparation of specifications
* Cost estimation
* Performance modeling and analysis
* Project planning
* Negotiation of supply and service contracts
* Project management

Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering
* CA Professional Engineer registration is preferred
* Experience in power plant design and construction (generators, protection,
transformers, high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage equipment and systems,
controls and instrumentation)
* Experience in developing specifications for engineering, procurement and
construction contracts
* Knowledge of relevant codes and practices
* Good written and oral communication skills
* A proven ability to work independently on challenging and time-constrained
projects
* A self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic team environment
* Demonstrated team leadership and management skills
* Experience with HV connection applications and network studies would be well
regarded
